AKeR shpk is the first company for archeology and restoration licensed in Albania. It was founded in 2009 as a branch of the German specialized company “Stadt- und Landschaftsarchäologie (SuLA)”, after the Republic of Albanian had ratified the “European Convention on the Protection of the Archaeological Heritage (Malta  Convention)” in 2008.

Company AKeR shpk offers following archaeological and restoration services:

Our staff has more than 40 years of work experience throughout Europe, in particular at the Balkans, in Italy and Germany, and in the Middle East. Our experienced multi-disciplinary team is able to deal with sites of all periods and complexity from the early prehistoric to World War II and from small evaluation trenches and test pits to medium and large-scale excavations.

Our experience enables us to offer you a high quality service, even in the case of working in advance of and during construction projects.

For the documentation and surveying of historic monuments, archaeological sites and architecture we are using Total Station, high-performance GPS and 3-D-Laserscanner.

So we have the opportunity to carry out archaeological excavations and develop conservation and revitalization projects quickly and economically but still at the highest documentation level.

Since the company was founded in 2008, AKeR shpk has successfully carried out various projects with the character of excavation, conservation and restoration.

- Durrës, former city-park „1 May“, Restoration of numerous ceramic vessels and articles, which were found during          the rescue excavation (fgefundrom 5th century BC up to the end of Late Antiquity) for museal purpose (2010-2012).

- Durrës, rruga „Vasil Kuqi“, Cleaning, conservation and restoration of ancient coins as well numerous metal                                   objects, which were found during the rescue excavation (from Hellenistic Period up to the end of Late Antiquity) for        museal purpose (2012).

3-D-Laserscanningr:

- Durres. former city-park „1 May“: In 2010 here was excavated a large roman               town quarter. We have measured the whole excavation with a 3-D-Laserscanner    (Trimble) in 2010-2011.
